The Fortress, Galle, Sri Lanka

Nestled along the Southern Coast of Sri Lanka and just minutes from the historic city of Galle, The Fortress is a seaside resort that draws inspiration from the Dutch Fort in the Southern region. The Fortress offers 49 accommodation units arranged across five distinct room types and residences, each taking its design cues from the Dutch Fort and presenting a modern, sensual living experience. Fortress Rooms

Eleven Fortress Rooms each feature a super king-sized bed dressed in Egyptian cotton and an open-plan bathroom with a rainfall shower and bath. Rooms open onto a private courtyard or garden balcony, and are equipped with air-conditioning, an overhead fan, a private bar, a plasma screen, Bose DVD and sound systems, a daybed, an in-room safe, and IDD telephone facilities.

Ocean Rooms

Eighteen Ocean Rooms are positioned on the upper floor of The Fortress, overlooking the ocean. These rooms feature open-plan bathrooms and high vaulted ceilings, making the most of their elevated, sea-facing position.

Beach Rooms

Twelve Beach Rooms occupy the ground floor with views of the beach, ocean, and gardens. Each includes an open-plan bathroom with a large bath and a split-level living area. The standout feature of these rooms is a private jacuzzi, perfectly positioned to take in the surrounding scenery.

Ocean Lofts

Six Ocean Lofts deliver a truly individual experience across two floors. The lower level holds a well-appointed living room with an indoor plunge pool, a daybed, a plasma screen, and a Bose DVD sound system. The upper floor is given over to the bedroom, which features a designer bed in soft Egyptian cotton, a daybed, and a bathroom with both rainfall and wall showers.

Fortress Residences

The two Fortress Residences each offer two bedrooms and an outdoor dining deck. Both residences include a private infinity-edge pool with views of the coast, and a 24-hour personal butler to attend to every need.
