Jetwing Saman Villas, A Luxury Reserve, is an adults-only, all-suite resort on a rocky headland at Aturuwella, just south of Bentota, with long stretches of beach running away on either side. Jetwing describes it as Sri Lanka's first boutique hotel, and it is built for quiet: an infinity-edge pool on the edge of the rock, a spa, and suites set to look out over the Indian Ocean. Guests under 18 are not accepted.
The resort stands on the headland at Aturuwella, in the Induruwa area on the south-west coast, between two bays and with access to the beach below. Induruwa railway station is about 1 km away and Bentota station about 3 km to the north, and Bentota's beaches, river and town are a short drive up the coast.
Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) is about 115 km from the resort by road, and the drive usually takes around 2 hours on the airport and Southern expressways, depending on traffic around Colombo. The simplest way to arrive after a long flight is a private airport transfer booked in advance with Lakpura: an English-speaking driver meets you in the arrivals hall and takes you straight to the resort in an air-conditioned car, van or coach sized for your group, from 2 up to 15 guests, at a fixed price for the whole vehicle rather than per seat. All accommodation is in suites for two adults, each placed for a view of the sea. The Superior Suites come on the ground floor, at around 120 m², or on the upper floor, at around 73 m². The Deluxe Suite with Pool and the Grand Deluxe Suite with Pool each cover about 175 m² with a private pool, and the Saman Villa Suite with Pool is the largest at about 197 m². The suites have wooden floors, a day bed and bathrooms with both an open-air bathtub and a shower.
The main restaurant serves an international menu with local specialities at dinner, while the Terrace Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, with seafood, Sri Lankan, Asian and European dishes. Drinks are served at the bar, with views of the ocean, and at the poolside, and the resort can also arrange private signature dining.
At the resort itself there is the spa, with Ayurveda treatments, aromatherapy and deep-tissue massages, alongside a gym, yoga, a steam room and a library. Beyond the headland, the turtle hatcheries of Kosgoda are about 9 km south, and the Madu River, with its mangroves, islands and cinnamon island, is about 15 km away for a boat safari. Bentota's river and water sports are a few minutes' drive north, and Lakpura can arrange private transfers and day tours along the coast from the resort.
After a hectic 2 weeks schedule had 2 days of pampering at this enchanting getaway. Super device ,excellent cuisine ,Butler Udara was amazing. Fabulous location.
