Strap on a harness and drop into Kitulgala's canyon system on this private, four-hour canyoning adventure. Your CPR-trained guide leads you through the gorge, where you tackle jumps — including a 45-foot leap into the water below — natural slides at varying levels, and the centrepiece: a 150-foot abseil down a sheer rock face. All harnesses, descending devices, safety helmets, and fully adjustable life jackets are provided, along with a thorough safety briefing before you set off. A waterproof bag keeps your belongings dry throughout.
The minimum age is 13, and the tour runs in English. Changing facilities are available after the session. Note that hotel pick-up and drop-off, food and beverages, and gratuities are not included — arrange your own transport to the Kitulgala meeting point and bring a packed lunch if you'd like a bite afterwards.
