Harischandra Gingelly Rolls (thala karali) are a traditional Sri Lankan sweet of sesame seeds bound with jaggery made from coconut treacle, shaped into thin rolls. This is the larger 300g pack, for a family or a festive table.
Gingelly is the old name for sesame in Sri Lanka and India. The rolls are crunchy and nutty with a caramel sweetness, eaten with a cup of tea or as a snack. They have been part of the Harischandra range for decades.
How to enjoy
- With plain tea or coffee in the afternoon.
- As a sweet after rice and curry.
- On a plate of Avurudu (New Year) sweets with kokis, kavum and aluwa.

Storage
