About this experience
Board your private boat in Trincomalee and head into the Indian Ocean in search of spinner and bottlenose dolphins. The tour runs for two hours and takes a maximum of six guests, so you have plenty of space on deck to watch, photograph, and listen to the naturalist — available on a first-come, first-served basis — point out behaviours and species. All safety gear is provided before departure.
The season runs November to March, subject to weather conditions, and Lakpura can arrange private group excursions to suit your schedule. Children aged five and above are welcome on board. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included, so bring water and a snack for the ride. Trincomalee's sheltered bay and warm coastal waters make it one of South Asia's most reliable spots for dolphin sightings close to shore.
