This is a Sinhala-language version of Charles Dickens's David Copperfield, prepared by D.C. Ranasinghe and published by M. D. Gunasena & Co. of Colombo. The text throughout is in Sinhala, so a reader will need the language to use it — something worth knowing before ordering from outside Sri Lanka.
Dickens's novel follows David from a difficult childhood into adulthood, and much commentary on it has centred on how closely it draws on the writer's own life.
