A wall chart for children beginning to read English. The letters are printed large, in capitals and in lower case, each one paired with a word and a picture so that the sound and the shape can be matched at a glance.
It is made to be pinned up and looked at repeatedly — at home above a desk, in a nursery or in an early-years classroom — rather than worked through in a sitting. Colour is used throughout to keep a young child's attention on the letter being learnt.
