EKHO Ella is a small hotel of just 12 rooms on a hillside off Sandungama Road in Ella, looking straight out over the Ella Gap to the hills beyond. Ella town, with its cafés and the start of most walks, is within easy reach, and the Ravana Cave is a short drive.
Yes. Ella station, on the scenic Main Line through the tea country, is about 600 metres away in a straight line, so arriving by train is easy; arrange a pick-up for your luggage in advance. The neighbouring stations of Demodara and Kithal Ella, are a little further along the line.
Ella is about 132 kilometres from Bandaranaike International Airport in a straight line, but the road climbs through the hill country and the drive takes most of a day. The simplest way to arrive is a private transfer from Colombo airport to EKHO Ella, which takes you all the way to the door.
