About this experience
Climb the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya and step into the world of King Kasyapa, whose fifth-century palace crowns a 200-metre volcanic column. As you ascend, you pass the famous mirror wall and the vivid frescoes of the cloud maidens — paintings that have survived over 1,500 years. Your private, air-conditioned vehicle collects you directly from your Colombo hotel, and your English-speaking chauffeur guide sets the historical scene before you arrive.
After Sigiriya, you continue to the Dambulla Cave Temple, a complex of five rock-carved shrines filled with gilded Buddha statues and intricate ceiling paintings that span centuries of Sri Lankan craftsmanship. A water bottle is included for each guest. Food and personal expenses are not covered. The full day runs to 11 hours, with hotel drop-off at the end. Minimum age is 12. This is a private tour — no shared groups.
