About this experience
Board your air-conditioned vehicle at your Beruwala hotel for the drive south to Yala National Park, Sri Lanka's second-largest reserve and one of the world's most densely leopard-populated parks. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide handles all navigation, so you can focus on scanning the scrub and lagoons. The tour runs for nine hours in total, with a half-day jeep safari inside the park giving you time to spot the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, herds of wild elephants grazing near the waterways, and a host of birdlife and reptiles along the way.
This is a private tour — no shared groups, just your party and your guide. Each guest receives a litre of bottled mineral water for the ride. Hotel pick-up and drop-off are included, as is all transport throughout the day. Note that Yala's park entrance fees, meals, and gratuities are not covered, so bring some cash for those. Minimum age for this safari is five years.
