About this experience
Set off from Bentota in a private, air-conditioned vehicle with your English-speaking chauffeur guide for the drive south to Yala National Park — Sri Lanka's second-largest national park and one of the world's most leopard-dense reserves. The full-day excursion runs nine hours, giving you ample time on the road and inside the park without feeling rushed.
At Yala, swap to a dedicated safari jeep for a three-hour game drive through scrub forest and open grassland. Keep your eyes on the tree line for the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, watch wild elephants graze near the waterways, and look out for sloth bears, crocodiles, and peacocks along the track. A water bottle is provided per person. Hotel pickup and drop-off from Bentota are included; park entrance tickets, meals, and gratuities are arranged separately.
