About this experience
Your Lakpura driver picks you up from your Balapitiya hotel and transfers you to Yala National Park — Sri Lanka's second-largest reserve — in an air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking chauffeur guide. The full journey runs nine hours, keeping the day well-organised from start to finish.
At the park, you board a dedicated safari jeep for a three-hour game drive led by an English-speaking driver who doubles as your tracker. Scan the scrub and lagoons for the Sri Lankan leopard, wild elephants, and the hundreds of aquatic birds that nest along the reserve's waterways. A complimentary water bottle per person keeps you refreshed on the trail. Note that Yala National Park entrance tickets, meals, and drinks are not included.
