About this experience
Board your private, air-conditioned vehicle at your Wadduwa hotel and travel south to Udawalawe National Park — Sri Lanka's sixth-largest wildlife sanctuary, set against the dramatic escarpment of the Central Highlands. Your English-speaking chauffeur handles the 180 km journey, so you arrive relaxed and ready for the bush.
At the park, swap to a jeep for a three-hour safari through Udawalawe's open grasslands and reservoir shores, where large herds of elephants are a near-daily sighting alongside water buffalo, crocodiles, and a rich variety of birdlife. A litre of bottled mineral water is provided per person. Note that park entrance tickets, meals, and gratuities are not included. The full day runs approximately nine hours and is open to guests aged seven and above.
