Montez à bord de votre véhicule climatisé privé à votre hôtel de Wadduwa et voyagez vers le sud jusqu'au Parc National d'Udawalawe — le sixième plus grand sanctuaire animalier du Sri Lanka, situé au pied de l'escarpement spectaculaire des Highlands centraux. Votre chauffeur anglophone gère le trajet de 180 km, vous arrivez donc détendu et prêt pour la brousse.
Au parc, changez pour un jeep afin de faire un safari de trois heures à travers les prairies ouvertes d'Udawalawe et les rives du réservoir, où les grands troupeaux d'éléphants sont visibles presque quotidiennement aux côtés de buffles d'eau, de crocodiles et d'une riche variété de vie aviaire. Un litre d'eau minérale embouteillée est fourni par personne. Notez que les tickets d'entrée du parc, les repas et les pourboires ne sont pas inclus. La journée complète dure environ neuf heures et est ouverte aux clients âgés de sept ans et plus.
