About this experience
Spend two nights under canvas inside Wasgamuwa National Park, one of Sri Lanka's quieter wildlife reserves and a stronghold for wild elephants. Your private camp sits on the tree-studded plains with mattresses, pillows, clean linen, and separate wash rooms — you trade city comforts for nothing but a roof. Full-board meals run throughout, and the first evening ends around the campfire with a three-course B.B.Q dinner and a limited supply of chilled beer. Bed down to the sounds of nightbirds and wake to their bright early-morning calls.
Four safari sessions — morning and afternoon across two days — take you deep into the park with an experienced guide. Watch herds of elephants, water buffalo, purple-faced langur, toque macaque monkeys and golden palm civet move through the reserve, and train your binoculars on the hundreds of bird species that nest and migrate here. Park entrance tickets are covered across the three-day trip, open to guests aged five and above. Hotel pickup, personal expenses and gratuities are not included.
