A set of practice question papers in Sinhala, prepared for pupils in the fourth grade working towards the scholarship examination. It forms part of the Gunasena Scholarship Taksalawa educational project, a graded series of paper sets issued under the names Star Edition, Super Edition, Smart Edition, Bright Edition and Genius Edition. Super Edition is the second stage in that sequence, intended to be taken up after the first and followed by the Smart, Bright and Genius sets in turn.
The papers are set according to the prescribed format and method of the examination itself, so that a child moves through the series step by step rather than meeting the real paper cold. Parents and teachers using the whole run will recognise the structure repeating at each level.
The compilers are Sajith Abeysekara and Kasun Ganewaththa, teachers with experience in primary education, both of whom completed the National Diploma in Teaching at Hapitigama National College of Education, Meerigama.
The text is entirely in Sinhala, including the questions and instructions, and there is no English edition of the material. It is written for children schooled in the Sinhala medium and for the parents and tutors guiding them. Buyers outside Sri Lanka ordering for a child preparing for the scholarship examination, or for a household keeping up Sinhala-medium schoolwork abroad, should plan on reading Sinhala to use it.
