About this experience
Climb into a tuk-tuk and spend four hours weaving through the rural lanes south of Galle on this private tour. Your English-speaking guide leads you through a traditional village where you get a close look at everyday customs, then on to a Buddhist temple for a hands-on meditation session. The tour continues with a toddy tasting stop — palm sap tapped fresh from the trees — giving you a genuine taste of one of Sri Lanka's oldest cottage industries. Round it all off with Sri Lankan sweets and a cup of Ceylon tea before your driver drops you back at your Galle hotel.
Lakpura organises hotel pickup and drop-off, so there's nothing to arrange on your end. The tour is entirely private, suited to travellers aged five and above, and conducted in English throughout. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included in the price.
