SLADC Pippalyadyasawaya is a classical asawaya, a fermented herbal liquid, led by pippali, the long pepper (Piper longum, tippili). Among its ingredients the corporation lists black pepper (Piper nigrum, gammiris), cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum, karadamungu as the maker writes it), turmeric (Curcuma longa, kaha), Plumbago rosea (rath nethul), areca nut (Areca catechu, pethi puwak), costus (Saussurea lappa, suwanda kottam), spikenard (Nardostachys jatamansi, jatamansa) and fire-flame bush (Woodfordia fruticosa, malitha).
Like other asawas it contains a small amount of natural alcohol formed during fermentation. It is bottled in 375 ml and 750 ml sizes.
