The title translates roughly as Sinhala Learning, and the book belongs to the body of Sinhala-medium writing on the language itself that Godage has long published for readers at home. Godage is an established Colombo publishing house issuing work in Sinhala and English across literature, language, history and the school and university market.
It will suit readers already literate in Sinhala who want material in the language rather than about it in translation: students, teachers, and Sri Lankans abroad building a Sinhala shelf for themselves or for children learning at home. Sinhala-medium titles of this kind are printed for the local market and are not easy to find outside the island, which is the main reason to order one when it appears.
