About this experience
Climb the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya, walk through a traditional rural village, then swap the air-conditioned vehicle for an open safari jeep at Minneriya National Park — all in a single private, 11-hour day trip from Dambulla. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide collects you and stays with you throughout, handling the driving so you focus on the frescoes at Sigiriya, the village lanes, and the wildlife ahead.
At Minneriya, the jeep rolls across open scrubland where herds of wild elephants gather around the reservoir, particularly during the dry season. Two 500 ml water bottles per person are provided for the ride. Entrance tickets to Sigiriya Rock, the village tour, and the national park are paid separately on the day. Minimum age for this tour is 7 years.
