Sigiriya, also known as Lion's Rock, is an ancient rock fortress and palace complex, renowned for its stunning frescoes, well-preserved ruins, and breathtaking views from the summit. Visitors can explore the ruins of King Kashyapa's palace, marvel at the famous mirror wall, and admire the vibrant frescoes that decorate the rock. The climb to the top offers an incredible panorama of the surrounding jungle and countryside, making it a must-see destination in Sri Lanka. It is recommended to visit in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat.
