Siddhalepa Hingwashtaka Churnaya is a fine herbal powder made in Sri Lanka to the classical Ayurvedic formula of the same name, which is included under churna preparations in the Ayurveda Pharmacopoeia. Its main ingredients are hing (asafoetida), black pepper, long pepper, ginger, cumin and rock salt, taken mixed with ghee. Use only as directed by a qualified Ayurvedic physician; ask one before use in pregnancy or for children.
A churnaya is one of the classical forms of Ayurvedic medicine: dried herbs and spices ground to a powder and measured out by the spoon.
Ingredients
- Black pepper (Piper nigrum)
- Long pepper (Piper longum)
- Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
- Ajamoda (Trachyspermum carum carvi)
- Saindhava lavana (rock salt)
- Shweta jeeraka (Cuminum cyminum)
- Krishna jeeraka (Nigella sativa)
- Hingu (asafoetida)
- Ghee (clarified butter)
How to use
- Maker's directions: 1 to 3 g mixed with a little ghee (clarified butter), taken with the first mouthful of food, twice a day.
- Take only as directed by a qualified Ayurvedic physician.
