Suwanda Dhupaya is a traditional Sri Lankan incense powder from Sewanagala Ayurveda, a blend of fragrant resins, woods and herbs made to be sprinkled on glowing embers. Burning dhupaya morning and evening is an old custom in Sri Lankan homes, shops and shrine rooms; the carton presents it, in Sinhala, as a dhupaya to drive away aswaha katawaha, the evil eye and evil tongue of Sri Lankan folk belief.
How to use
Sprinkle a small pinch on burning charcoal or embers in a heat-proof holder. Never leave burning incense unattended, keep it away from children and pets, and use it in a ventilated room.
