The intended users are students: those studying Pali in pirivenas and at university, who need a working reference beside a set text rather than a scholarly lexicon to be read through. Headwords are Pali, glosses are Sinhala.
Buyers outside Sri Lanka should note that this book is in Sinhala throughout. There is no English in it. Using it assumes you can read Sinhala script and understand Sinhala definitions, as well as read Pali in Sinhala characters. If you are learning Pali through English, this is not the dictionary for that purpose; if you are studying within the Sinhala-medium tradition, or are a reader of Sinhala working on Pali texts, it is made exactly for you.
