Kandy sits in a bowl of hills, and the quickest way out of the traffic is on two wheels. This rental puts you on a mountain bike with a helmet and an experienced cycling guide who speaks English and knows which lanes climb, which drop, and which run flat along the valley floor. You ride out of the Royal City into the countryside around it, swapping shopfronts for green slopes, small roadside villages and cooler mountain air. It is available only in Kandy.
Your guide sets the route with you before you put the helmet on, matching the climbs and the distance to how hard you want to work. From there you follow the hills and valleys around Kandy at your own pace, with the guide riding alongside to explain the attractions you pass and to pick the best line through the countryside. Stops are yours to call. The one firm rule is that the bike comes back in the same condition it went out.
Booking covers the mountain bike, helmet and guide, and confirmation is instant for one to four guests. Cancellation is free with more than 24 hours notice; inside that window, or if you do not show up, no refund is given. Notice must be in writing from you or the agent who made the booking, and takes effect from the date it is received. Once you start using the service, unused parts are not refunded, and any bank fees on an international transfer are yours.
