Malwatte Whole Clove Pods is whole dried cloves, packed in a 50g printed card carton. It comes from Malwatte Valley Plantations, which processes and packs spices in its own factory.
Cloves are the dried flower buds of the clove tree. They are strong and aromatic, so a few go a long way.

In the kitchen
- Add two or three to rice, biryani and meat curries.
- Grind with cinnamon and cardamom for a sweet spice mix.
- Stud into ham or onions, or simmer in mulled drinks.
Storage
Once opened, move the whole clove pods into an airtight jar, or keep the carton tightly closed, in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
