A mathematics workbook for pupils in grade four, prepared in line with the current Sri Lankan syllabus and covering the mathematical concepts it sets out. The text is in Sinhala throughout, so it will be of use to families following the local curriculum or teaching Sinhala-medium mathematics at home.
The material is organised lesson by lesson. Alongside the exercises for each lesson, the book includes questions of the kind likely to be set in the scholarship examination, with answers supplied. That combination — syllabus coverage and exam-style practice in the same volume — is what the compiler has aimed at.
Amila Prasad is the author. The publisher is M. D. Gunasena & Co. (Pvt) Ltd, an established Colombo house with a long presence in Sri Lankan educational publishing in Sinhala and English.
Buyers outside Sri Lanka should note again that there is no English text here: the instructions, questions and answers are all in Sinhala, and a reader will need to be comfortable in the language to work through it.
