Lifetone Cinnamon Tea is a two-ingredient blend of powdered Ceylon cinnamon and Ceylon black tea, packed into 20 individual sachets of two grams each, all contained within a kraft paper box. It is produced by Possible Green (Pvt) Ltd at their facility in Kilinochchi, in the north of Sri Lanka, and carries an ISO 22000:2005 food safety management certification from the United Accreditation Foundation.
The cinnamon in this blend is Ceylon cinnamon — the variety native to Sri Lanka, where the vast majority of the world's supply originates. Its flavour is characteristically delicate and gently sweet, with a faint citrus note, quite distinct from the sharper cassia cinnamon that fills most supermarket spice jars. When combined with Ceylon black tea, the result is a warm, aromatic cup with the rounded depth of the tea and the soft spice of the cinnamon working together rather than competing.
Preparing a cup is straightforward. Place one sachet in a glass of hot water, leave it for thirty to forty-five seconds, then squeeze the sachet with your fingers to release the essence, stir well, and drink while hot. The packaging recommends no more than two sachets a day. Once opened, keep any remaining sachets in an airtight container.
The pack is labelled in both English and Tamil — கருவாத் தேயிலை — reflecting the product's Sri Lankan roots. It is registered under the Department of Ayurveda in Sri Lanka and is marketed under Lifetone's tagline 'Nature's tea for better life'.
