A guided descent down the natural rock face beside Lakshapana Waterfall, one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful falls, using professional rope systems and safety equipment.
What you do
- Check-in and breakfast: registration and breakfast at the meeting point, which opens before the 8:00 am start.
- Briefing: the instructors fit and check your gear, explain body position, rope handling and signals, and lead a short stretching session.
- The abseil: a controlled descent beside the waterfall, with the team managing the rope and talking you down.
- The falls: time at the lower pool for photos, then a 30-40 minute hike back up the rock staircase.
With your own transport the experience takes about 4 to 5 hours and usually finishes around noon. Minimum age 16.
