Kandyan dance has been alive since the Kandyan Kingdoms, and it moves the whole body. Some of its steps imitate two of the island's best-known animals, the elephant and the peacock. Amanda Fernando, a dance teacher from Kandy, takes your group through it in 1.5 hours.

- The steps: learn step by step, to the beat of traditional drums such as the Geta Beraya.
