About this experience
Lace up your boots and set off on a private five-hour hike to Danigala — the dramatic circular rock that rises above Sri Lanka's north-central lowlands. Your guide leads you up a trail that rewards every step: at the summit, sweeping 360-degree viewpoints open across paddy fields, lakes, and forest reserves stretching into the Uva and Eastern Provinces. The minimum age is five, making this a manageable adventure for families with older children as well as solo trekkers.
Lakpura equips you for the climb with a returnable hiking bag, cool towel, two organic energy drinks, three litres of water per person, and a snack and fruit bag. After you descend, a changing area and shower facility at the village let you freshen up before heading on. Gratuities and additional food or drink are not included.
