Gems and Jewelry Workshop from Galle

Step into a traditional Sri Lankan jewellery workshop and learn how a piece of jewellery is crafted by hand from raw metal and gems. Over three hours, your private session takes you through each stage of the process — cutting, setting, and finishing — guided by a skilled artisan. Lakpura arranges tuk-tuk pick-up from your Galle hotel, and snacks and a bottle of water are included to keep you comfortable throughout.

You're welcome to practise using a custom piece at no extra cost, so there's no obligation to buy. If you'd like to take home the jewellery you make, you simply pay a non-touristic materials price covering the metal and gems used. Guests must be aged 10 or above. Gratuities and personal expenses are not included.
