About this experience
Board your private boat at Negombo and spend two hours drifting along the Hamilton Canal — the historic Dutch-built waterway that threads through the quiet villages and mangroves of Waikkal. Your English-speaking guide points out kingfishers, water monitors, and fishing communities along the banks as the canal opens into wider stretches of brackish backwater. A qualified rescue and first-aid crew member is on board throughout, and a 500 ml bottle of water is provided per person.
Hotel pick-up and drop-off around Negombo Beach are included, so there's no need to arrange your own transport to the water. The tour runs for exactly two hours and is operated as a private experience, meaning you share the boat only with your own group. Children aged five and above are welcome. Personal expenses and anything not listed in the inclusions are not covered.

Dutch Canal
We had nice time on boat from Negombo to our hotel.
You can find a lot of animals: cows, baths, birds or even spear. We had nice time, Dutch Canal is long and we saw place where it flew to ocean.
