About this experience
Board your private helicopter at Colombo City Helipad (MOD Helipad) and fly north to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka's first great capital and the birthplace of Theravada Buddhism. You travel in either a Robinson R66 (up to 3 passengers) or an Airbus H125 (up to 5 passengers), with 120 minutes of flying time return. The route is a continuous scenic flight — the helicopter circles around the sacred sites rather than over them, giving you broad views of the dagobas and ruins that shaped 1,500 years of Sinhalese civilisation.
At Anuradhapura Airfield, a chauffeur guide meets you and drives you to the historical sites and back; ground transport is included. Entrance fees and meals are not. This private tour suits travellers aged 10 and above, with Lakpura managing the itinerary from take-off to landing back in Colombo.
