Damro Labookellie White Needle is a white tea of greenish stems hand-picked from seedling tea bushes more than 100 years old, grown at the higher elevations of the estate. It brews a greenish infusion and a pale, almost white liquor.
Labookellie is one of the oldest and largest tea estates in Sri Lanka, in the Dimbula growing region of the Nuwara Eliya District, with tea fields above 4,900 feet. Use water at about 80 C and brew for three to five minutes.
