Damro Labookellie Planter's Whisper is a green tea leaf picked with care from the purple tea bush, the TRI 2043 clone, grown at high altitude. The leaf is handled as little as possible and dried in the sun, so it keeps its character. It brews a pale green infusion with a silvery liquor.
Labookellie is one of the oldest and largest tea estates in Sri Lanka, in the Dimbula growing region of the Nuwara Eliya District, with tea fields above 4,900 feet. Use water at about 80 C and brew for two to three minutes.
