About this experience

Set off from Balapitiya in a private, air-conditioned vehicle with your English-speaking chauffeur guide for a seven-hour sweep through Sri Lanka's capital. The day takes you to the National Museum, where the island's royal regalia and ancient artefacts fill room after room, then on to one of Colombo's largest street markets — a vivid tangle of spices, textiles, and everyday trade. Next, step inside the Gangaramaya Temple, a landmark of Buddhist worship that blends Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese architectural styles within a single compound.

The tour rounds off at Galle Face Green, the wide ocean promenade where sea breezes roll in off the Indian Ocean as the sun drops toward the horizon. Hotel pickup and drop-off from Balapitiya are included, along with local taxes. Entrance fees to the National Museum and Gangaramaya Temple, meals, and personal expenses are not included.
