About this experience
Set out from Koggala for Bundala National Park, Sri Lanka's first Ramsar wetland site and a UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve recognised by BirdLife International as an Important Bird Area. Your private, English-speaking driver collects you from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and covers the journey each way, so you arrive ready to explore. The full excursion runs seven hours, with a minimum age of five, making it a practical choice for families and solo travellers alike.
Inside the park, you board a dedicated jeep for a guided safari through Bundala's coastal lagoons, scrub forest, and mudflats — habitats that draw resident and migratory bird species alongside crocodiles and elephants.
