About this experience
Board an air-conditioned vehicle at your Balapitiya hotel and head south to Bundala National Park, a Ramsar-designated wetland on Sri Lanka's southern coast. The eight-hour day trip includes a three-hour jeep safari led by an English-speaking driver who doubles as your tracker — pointing out flamingos, painted storks, and the seasonal migratory waterbirds that gather here each winter. Keen butterfly watchers will also find plenty to look at along the trail network.
Your Lakpura chauffeur guide handles all transfers and keeps you informed throughout the drive. A water bottle is provided per person. Entrance tickets to Bundala National Park and meals are not included, so budget for those separately. Minimum age for this private tour is five years.
