About this experience
Board your private jeep at Bundala National Park and spend three hours exploring one of Sri Lanka's most important Ramsar Wetlands with an experienced naturalist by your side. Your driver doubles as a skilled tracker, reading animal prints and spoor as you move through lagoons and scrubland. Watch flocks of migratory waterbirds — flamingos, painted storks, and waders — gather along the shallow tanks, and keep an eye out for the park's resident elephants, crocodiles, and deer. Butterfly spotters are well catered for, and your naturalist highlights the medicinal and ecological properties of the rare plants you pass along the route. The jeep holds a maximum of six passengers, giving the tour an unhurried, private feel.
Free pickup and drop-off is included for any location within 5 km of the park gate, and each guest receives a one-litre bottle of water. The three-hour safari suits travellers aged five and above. Note that park entrance fees are paid separately in cash on arrival, and food, drinks, and gratuities are not included. Lakpura organises the full logistics so you arrive ready to watch, learn, and explore.
