A Sinhala classical poem in praise of the Buddha, published in Colombo by M. D. Gunasena & Co. The text is entirely in Sinhala, with no English translation, so it will suit readers who read the language.
The poem is the work of Vīdāgama Mahānetrapāsādamūla Maitreya Thera, the poet also responsible for Dahamgeta Mālāva, Haṁsa Sandēśaya, Lōvaḍa Saṁgarāva and Kav Lakuṇu Miṇi Maldama. The title carries the sense of the aesthetic quality of the whole body of the Buddha's virtues, and the author's purpose throughout is the praise of those virtues.
This edition carries the name of Kirielle Gnanawimala Thero, a scholar-monk whose work concerned the older Sinhala literary texts.
Of interest to readers of classical Sinhala poetry, to students following the standard works of the Kotte period, and to anyone building a shelf of Sri Lankan devotional literature in the original language.
