Golden Giant Rose and Blackcurrant is a flavoured Ceylon black tea from the Golden Giant range of Battler. It blends rose petals and blackcurrant with black tea, packed as 100g of loose leaf in a tin caddy.
The leaves are large and well twisted, and they brew an orange-red cup. Rose gives a floral aroma, and blackcurrant adds a sweet berry taste with a slight sharpness at the end. The tea is sealed in foil inside the tin to keep its scent.

Tasting notes
Floral rose on the nose, then dark berry fruit with a light tartness, over a smooth black tea base.
How to brew
- Use one teaspoon (about 2.5 g) of leaf per cup.
- Pour on freshly boiled water.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain.
Serving ideas
Best without milk. Try it with a little sugar or honey, or brew it strong and serve it over ice. The tin makes a ready gift.
