A loose leaf pure Ceylon green tea with soursop, from the Battler fruit tea range. It comes in a 25 g carton, sealed for freshness, and gives about 10 cups at one teaspoon per cup.
The maker lists the tea as pure Ceylon green tea with natural soursop flavouring. It is a quick way to try a flavoured Ceylon tea without committing to a large pack, and the carton also suits a desk drawer or a holiday bag.
In the pack
- 25 g of loose leaf Ceylon green tea with soursop
- Sealed carton; reseal or move to an airtight jar once opened
- The maker gives a shelf life of three years
Tasting notes
Light Ceylon green tea with a sweet soursop note. Soursop, known in Sri Lanka as katu anoda, gives the cup a gentle tropical aroma over the fresh green tea.
How to brew
- Use one teaspoon (about 2.5 g) of leaf per cup.
- Let boiled water cool to about 80 C.
- Steep for 2 to 3 minutes, then strain.
Serving ideas
Serve plain, hot or chilled over ice. Keep the water below boiling for the smoothest cup.
