This is Ceylon black tea flavoured with blackcurrant, from the fruit tea range by Battler, packed as 25 tea bags in a carton.
The black tea gives body and colour, while the blackcurrant adds a dark berry aroma with a slightly tart edge. Each bag is foil-sealed to hold the fruit aroma until you open it.

- Keep the tea closed, cool and dry, away from strong smells. The maker gives a shelf life of three years.
Tasting notes
A deep red liquor with a ripe blackcurrant aroma, a light tartness and the firm body of Ceylon black tea underneath.
How to brew
- Use one tea bag per cup.
- Pour on freshly boiled water.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then lift out the bag.
Serving ideas
Best black, with a little honey or sugar if you like it sweeter. It also makes a good iced tea: brew two bags in a cup, cool and pour over ice with a slice of lemon.
