Black Elephant tea bags hold the same everyday Ceylon black tea as the Black Elephant loose leaf, from the Ceylon Elephant range by Battler. It is sold in two sizes; pick one above.
The bags are sealed in foil inside the carton to keep the tea fresh. The cup is smooth and well rounded with a rich amber colour: a simple, reliable tea for the office, the kitchen or the guest room.
In the pack
- 50 g carton: 25 tea bags of 2 g each, or
- 200 g carton: 100 tea bags of 2 g each.
- Bags foil-sealed; ingredient: pure Ceylon black tea.
- Keep the tea closed, cool and dry, away from strong smells. The maker gives a shelf life of three years.
Tasting notes
Medium body, amber liquor and a mild malt note. It holds its flavour with milk and sugar.
How to brew
- Use one tea bag per cup.
- Pour on freshly boiled water.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then lift out the bag.
Serving ideas
Brew in a mug with milk for breakfast, or make a pot with two or three bags for the table. For iced tea, brew strong, cool and pour over ice.
