Batanala Wadakaya is a collection of short stories in Sinhala by Pushpa Malani Kalubovila, published by Godage International Publishers. The title means the flute player, and the cover names the book as a short story collection beneath it.
The cover painting sets the tone: a man sits at the edge of a still lake playing a flute, while a young woman with long dark hair leans against a tree nearby, the sky pale blue above them.
Pushpa Malani Kalubovila is also the author of other Sinhala books, among them Dabadeni Puththu and Disapathi Doni. Batanala Wadakaya is written in Sinhala.
