The Basilur Magic Fruits Assorted box brings together four distinct black fruit teas in a single 40-bag gift pack, each flavour individually wrapped in a foil envelope to keep it fresh until the moment it is brewed. The four flavours — Strawberry & Kiwi, Mango & Pineapple, Raspberry & Rosehip, and Sweet Cherry — are portioned equally at ten bags apiece, giving the box a pleasing symmetry and enough variety to suit different moods or different guests.
Every tea bag in the collection begins with pure Ceylon black tea as its base, grown and processed in Sri Lanka and certified as such on the packaging. The fruit character in each blend comes from natural flavourings and, in the case of Raspberry & Rosehip, from whole natural rosehip shells folded into the leaf. Strawberry & Kiwi draws on natural strawberry, kiwifruit and pineapple flavours; Mango & Pineapple on mango and pineapple; Sweet Cherry on cherry alone. The result in each cup is a recognisably fruity, full-bodied black tea rather than a delicate herbal infusion.
The box is produced and packed in Angoda, Sri Lanka, by Basilur Tea Export, a company founded by Ceylon tea specialist Dr Gamini Abeywickrama. The net weight of the complete assorted box is 80 g — four groups of ten bags, each bag weighing 2 g — making it a compact but generous gift that travels well.
To brew, use freshly boiled water at around 95–100 °C and allow the bag to steep for three to five minutes, adjusting steeping time to personal preference. The foil envelopes keep each bag sealed against moisture and odour until use; once opened, the box itself should be stored in a cool, dry place.
With its quartet of flavours and its gift-ready presentation, the Magic Fruits Assorted box works equally well as something to keep on a kitchen shelf or to wrap and give. It is a practical way to explore several directions within Basilur's fruit tea range before committing to a single variety.
