Basilur Four Seasons Spring Tea is a loose-leaf Ceylon green tea blended with real pineapple and cherry pieces, cornflower petals, and a cherry flavour, packed in Sri Lanka and sold in a 100g foil pouch. It belongs to Basilur's Four Seasons collection, a series of four seasonal tea blends, each built around Ceylon teas and a distinct character. The Spring edition takes its cue from the Japanese cherry blossom — the Sakura motif that runs across the tin's design — and presents a green tea with a gentle, fruit-forward finish.
The ingredients read simply on the pack: 100% pure Ceylon green leaf tea, natural pineapple and cherry fruits, natural cornflower, and cherry flavour. The tea itself carries the Ceylon Tea certification, which means it has been verified by the Sri Lanka Tea Board as genuinely grown and processed in Sri Lanka. It is packed and exported by Basilur Tea Export (Pvt) Ltd. in Angoda, Sri Lanka, a company that supplies tea markets worldwide.
This is a loose-leaf tea, not a bagged one. The 100g net weight — equivalent to 3.53 oz — is enclosed in a flavour-sealed foil pouch fitted with a zipper lock, which keeps moisture and outside aromas away from the leaf between uses. The pack itself carries a note of 80 servings, giving a sense of how far 100g extends at the manufacturer's suggested serving size.
To brew, steep the leaves in hot water for two to three minutes, adjusting to taste. Store the pouch in a cool, dry place away from strong odours, as the packaging advises. The zipper seal makes it straightforward to keep the tea fresh after opening without needing a separate caddy.
