Basilur Cream Fantasy is a flavoured loose leaf Ceylon green tea, part of the brand's Bouquet collection and sold in a decorative metal tin caddy. The leaves are blended with papaya fruit, amaranth petals, and strawberry and cream flavourings, producing a cup that carries distinct strawberry notes with a soft, creamy finish. The tin is marked Exclusive Premium Quality, and the tea inside is 100% pure Ceylon green leaf tea, grown and packed in Sri Lanka.
Ceylon green teas are processed differently from black teas: the freshly picked leaves are gently steamed rather than allowed to oxidise, which locks in their characteristic mellow flavour and gives the brewed liquor a warm, clear yellow colour. The Bouquet collection builds on that gentle base by introducing natural botanical and fruit elements — here, the papaya and amaranth lend body and a quiet sweetness, while the strawberry and cream flavourings bring a more pronounced, dessert-like note to the cup.
The caddy holds 100g of loose leaf tea, sufficient for approximately 50 servings at two grams per serving. Inside the tin sits a flavour-sealed foil inner pouch with a zipper lock, which helps preserve the aromatics between uses. Basilur recommends transferring the inner pouch to an airtight container and refrigerating it once opened, and storing the tin itself in a cool, dry place.
To brew, measure approximately one level teaspoon of leaf per cup, pour fresh water that has just come off the boil, and allow the leaves to infuse for two to three minutes. Green tea is more delicate than black, and a shorter steep keeps the flavour smooth rather than astringent.
