This is the Ceremonial grade, the top grade of Ancient Nutra matcha. It is made in Japan from the youngest leaves of the early-spring harvest, which are shaded, steamed and stone-ground into a very fine, deep green powder.
The cup is naturally sweet, with a strong umami taste and very little bitterness. The maker recommends it for plain whisked tea rather than lattes, baking or smoothies; for those, the Premium and Classic grades are sold separately.

How to use
The maker's directions: whisk the powder with hot (not boiling) water until smooth and drink it as it is. A bamboo whisk gives the traditional froth.
